ENGINEER, PRESSURE VESSEL

 

 

AMERICAN ISOSTATIC PRESSES, INC. (AIP) is a small company in Columbus, Ohio, providing quality high pressure equipment world-wide. Our long history of furnace and controls innovation has been complimented in the last decade by our own pressure vessel solutions. We hold ASME Section VIII, Division 1, 2 and 3 stamps, KGS (Korean) Approval, and have provided vessels built to the European PED and Singapore’s MOM requirements. AIP is currently in the process of obtaining approval for an SEL License from China. Our Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) equipment is used in densification of powders and castings for industry, military and nuclear waste applications. We are a leader in research equipment and have an expanding share of the larger HIP market. The last three years have shown record growth in our vessel business and a major expansion of our assembly facility. We currently also have an Erie, Pa location for our pressure vessel  design group.
Locating to Columbus, Ohio is also a possibility. 

 

WE NEED a dynamic Engineer  to work on reducing our design backlog and to help with quality systems for the company while learning the AIP approach to ASME vessels. The successful candidate will advance to a leadership position in designing pressure vessels . 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engineering design of multiple types of pressure vessels to the ASME B&PV Code under supervision of Senior Product Manager
  • Helping with ASME and ISO 9000 Quality systems
  • Continuously improving pressure vessel designs and design processes

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Successful passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or PE

·        BS Mechanical Engineering

·    2 to 5+ years of engineering experience designing pressure vessels or pressure related products

·        Experience performing finite element analysis

·        Experience with CAD programs, prefer AutoCAD and Solid Work . Other FEA Programs/drafting  also acceptable.
PE( professional Engineer ) license  or working towards a PE license  is  a plus.
