Mechanical Engineer – Home Robots Division

Location: Bedford, MA
We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Home Robots Division Advanced Development Group. In this role, you will be responsible for robotic component technology and new product concept development. The successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor and excel as part of a high-performance, multi-disciplinary development team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design & analysis, prototyping, design verification testing, and cost estimation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BSME required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience with advanced electro/mechanical product design and manufacturing of complex, interrelated systems.
- Minimum 1 year experience developing high volume consumer products (vacuums a plus) incorporating injection molded plastic parts, complex mechanisms, sensors, and electronics.
- Expert knowledge of injection molding and plastic part design.
- Minimum 3 years CAD, Pro/E preferred. Advanced surface modeling in Pro/E is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish aggressive goals.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Experience taking high-volume products from concept through debug and into production is a plus.
- Experience with overseas manufacturing practices (China preferred) and communication effectively with remotely located design and manufacturing partners is a plus.
