Motion Controls Robotics, Inc. (MCRI) located in friendly and centrally located Fremont, OH, is searching for a mechanical engineer to join its growing team.  Applicant must be a self-starter, have strong engineering & leadership skills, desire to work in a collaborative environment.  MCRI is led by demanding, yet fair and spirit filled owners and management who wish to maintain the high level of cooperation and comradery that exists within the company as new employees are brought on. The successful candidate will;

·         Prepare mechanical designs for robotic work cells, production lines, packaging lines, assembly lines, and related material handling systems and equipment

·         Detail these designs to be ready for shop production

·         Specify purchased components

·         Simulate designs using FANUC RoboGuide and 3d modeling software

·         Work with shop personnel to ensure proper fit up and assembly of designs

·         Support  estimating and proposal process with concept input and drawings for complex automated robot-based material handling, packaging and assembly systems

·         Maintain price database for standard purchased components

·         Work with management and manufacturing to continuously reduce product costs

·         Assist with cost history audits on projects to create and maintain labor and material cost standards

·         Occasionally travel to customer locations to gather project requirements and meet with customer’s project personnel

·         Have ability and desire to work both independently as well as collaboratively with sales, engineering, shop, project management, shop and customer service employees

·         Thrive in a high energy, challenging, fast moving, and rewarding work environment

Required skills;

·         An interest in robotics and custom machine/system design

·         AutoCAD Desktop and Inventor or other 3D modeling proficiency

·         Attention to detail

·         Confidence to develop designs for multi-million dollar systems

·         Desire to work in a team atmosphere to land projects ranging in cost from $100,000 to $5,000,000+

·         Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·         Experience and interest in robotics and custom machine design and build preferred
