Mechanical Engineer

Must be United States citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense security clearance.

Employee will serve as mechanical engineering technician for a team of engineers whose responsibilities include the development of new Department of Defense (DOD) ammunition/weapon system technologies. Job assignment will include providing advice to R&D engineers concerning feasibility of ammunition component fabrication, assembly techniques and testing. It will be the responsibility of the engineering technician to ensure that all work is accomplished within the guidelines established by project plans, policy, and SOPs.

Additional job duties will include development of new work procedures related to testing of ammunition systems, implementation of machining equipment and a keen knowledge of fixtures and tooling associated with ammunition design. The engineering technician will be responsible for independently planning, laying out and overseeing execution of energetic materials testing, machining and assembly operations to conform as specified by R&D engineers or the customer.

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required for consideration.
