We are looking for a career minded Mechanical Engineer. This position is responsible for developing designs in support of new and existing products, within Design for Manufacturability guidelines, customer specific requests and strategic business goals. Candidates should have experience working in a Manufacturing environment.

Products include merchandise/check out equipment for grocery, convenience, and mass merchant retailers.

Responsibilities include:
-Design, develop, and test new products and product improvements, including cost reductions, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
-Employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered in product development.
-Execute projects utilizing CAD software (Solid Edge) creating 3D models and assemblies and drafts of parts, components and assemblies.
-Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to evaluate design, focusing on improving performance, overall design, quality and safety.
-Provide product specifications and Bills of Material.

Required Education and Skills:
-Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
-Sheet Metal Design Experience
-Solid understanding of strength of materials, load path analysis and failure mode analysis
-Proficient in 3D CAD (Solid Edge preferred)
-Innovative problem solving skills
-Ability to work within a team environment
-Knowledge of UL, AC/DC power & circuitry, electric motor technology and ergonomics a plus
