We are seeking an exceptional engineer to become part of our engineering team.  The job involves product research, design, and development. The responsibilities include creating comprehensive design solutions and directing resources required to bring product to market. Our products target the remote and covert viewing needs of worldwide Industrial, Medical, and Law Enforcement markets. Each market demands unique specifications which in turn demand an experienced and self-reliant engineer for the job. We design and manufacture all products in our Westfield, MA facility. Experience:

A BSME and 5yrs experience using Solidworks to develop portable products consisting of up to 100 parts. Optical expertise is necessary to be successful; as a minimum, candidates must have desire and aptitude to be trained. Electronic experience in video and audio products, as well as battery powered products, is also necessary.  Experience working to ISO 9001: 2000 procedures is highly desirable.

Job Purpose:

Design optic-mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.

Duties:

* Evaluates systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, optics, heat transfer, and materials.

* Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.

* Develops products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from end users.

* Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication and assembly processes.

* Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

* Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.

* Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
