Mid-sized company has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and work in a fast paced environment. This position requires excellent written and verbal English language skills.

Essential responsibilities:

-Review project plans, requirements, and specifications for all of Division 15

-Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing for all of Division 15

-Prepare conceptual mechanical estimates

-Evaluate mechanical trade bids and close gaps between mechanical and other trades

-Prepare mechanical subcontractor bid list and submit drawings to mechanical subcontractors

-Participate in bid compilation on bid day

-Perform mechanical post-bid buyouts

Education and Experience:

-Four year college degree in engineering, construction management and or architecture

-Experience as an estimator in the mechanical arena of the construction industry

-Ability to read plans and specifications

-Knowledge of mechanical products and installation methods

-Working knowledge of estimating procedures and computer programs

-Proficient in Excel, Quick Pen, and On-Screen Takeoff
