RE: Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager Position Available

Laskey-Clifton Corporation, a 50 year old Heavy-Civil Contracting firm, is seeking a Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager. This person will be part of a project team, constructing water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and similar projects.

The successful candidate will have experience in taking off & pricing: mechanical piping (ferrous & non-ferrous), treatment equipment installation, miscellaneous metal fabrication & installation, yard piping, structural concrete, building construction, minor plumbing and other work associated with construction of a treatment plant.

Once successful with the bid on a project, this individual will be responsible for turning over the project to the project team, assisting accounting in setting up and maintaining job costs, constructing and maintaining a project schedule using Primavera Contractor software, procurement of construction materials, execution of subcontracts, timely delivery of materials and subcontract work items to the crew in the field, and support of field personnel, procurement, review, & submittal to the owner/engineer of product submittals.

If the candidate is named as the primary Project Manager on a project, he or she carries responsibility for profit/loss on the project.

Prior treatment plant construction experience is required. Construction Management or Engineering educational background is preferable, but not mandatory. Experience with CM/GC contracts will also be viewed favorably.

Most time will be spent at our main office, located in Reedsport, Oregon, with weekly site visits to projects in progress, or as required. Larger projects could require working onsite, as required.
