Mechanical Engineer
CDI Government Services needs a Senior Mechanical engineer To provide professional-level skills for the design, estimation, and documentation of mechanical engineered systems for construction and renovation projects.
Required: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience gained through a minimum of 7 years of mechanical design including background in HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems. CAD knowledge gained through a minimum of 5 years experience. Computer literacy in PC-based applications including Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing. Ability to work in a team environment. Effective interpersonal skills. Must possess a current state-of-residence driver’s license. Applicants will be subject to background investigation and evaluation.
Desired: Professional Engineers license. Experience gained through a minimum of 2 years of mechanical construction field experience. Knowledge/experience with computer-based estimating systems. Experience with coordination reviews, constructability reviews, and design coordination reviews.
Duties;
Join a multi-disciplined team and generate designs, perform engineering calculations, and
create documentation for heating, ventilating, air condition (HVAC), fire suppression, and
Plumbing systems and controls (DDC)
Develop HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler labor and material cost estimates for resources to accomplish construction and renovation projects using standards – based reference guides.
Create construction documents utilizing Auto CAD for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection,
and control systems.
Apply technical expertise in problem solving construction administration efforts for new
mechanical construction and renovation projects.
Review mechanical designs prepared by staff and consultants for renovation and new
construction projects.
This long term assignment with our client is located in Howard County Maryland and has potential for direct hire. We offer vacation, holiday and other company paid benefits. Pre-employment screening, US citizenship and background check will be required for facility access.
