A position is now available for a Manufacturing Engineer based at our X-Ray Technology (XT) site, located in Scotts Valley, California.

Scope of Responsibility 

 In this position you will drive to see that manufacturing engineering projects are successfully completed.  Use statistical tools to analyze production tooling and process effectiveness.  While remaining aware of product costs, you will effectively troubleshoot problems.  You will work on existing products but will also introduce new products to manufacture.  You will put your Lean Manufacturing skills into practice at Oxford Instruments



Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position include



  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or industrial Technology preferred.
  • 5 years in a development engineering or manufacturing engineering role with experience in high technology environment.
  • Background in scientific manufacturing industry. 
  • Use of statistical tools to analyze production tooling and process effectiveness.
  • Working experience with ISO, Lean and V&V 
  • Experience with document control systems
  • Able to perform the basic requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Well Organized and ability to get multiple tasks completed
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent customer interface skills
