RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, maintain and modify helicopter structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tool, UG NX5, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Define, maintain, and release engineering product data in electronic data sets or drawings to include layouts, three-dimensional models, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Investigate design factors such as ease of manufacturing, interchangeability, replacibility, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specifications. Works under minimal direction.

REQUIREMENTS:
Use independent, creative thinking and resourcefulness to develop technical solutions to complex problems and identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Education Minimum: BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited institution and requisite years experience. Advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills required, must have Unigraphic NX5 skill set, work within Team Center (TcE) and skilled in Product Data Management (PDM).
