QTC is the largest private provider of government-outsourced medical and disability examination services in the nation. Job Description:




  • Review of computerized worksheets, manually completed by claimants and electronically by physician.


  • Reports will be reviewed and edited in proprietary software application to ensure accuracy and consistency.  This will be accomplished through review of medical records provided, doctors notes and verifying information through dialogue with physician.


  • Edit for appropriateness in context, grammar and spelling.


  • Ensure the completeness of exam reports prior to submission to operational team.


  • Assist in the retrieval of diagnostic test results prior to submission of examination reports to the operational teams.


  • Identify abnormalities in diagnostic results and work with provider to determine the critical nature of the abnormality


  • Interface with operational teams and assist in the provision of service bills and medical records to MEF staff.


  • Assist in the scheduling of add-on diagnostics by communicating with operational teams.


  • Work with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately.


  • As necessary may be called upon to assist in the delivery of reports for other lines of business.


  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

 


 



Requirements:

Education and Experience:



  • Some college preferred
  • Previous medical office experience

Skills and Characteristics:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Medical transcription background.
  • Excellent typing skills including speed, a minimum of 30 wpm, and accuracy.
  • The ability to organize plan and coordinate multiple tasks with a high sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Above average computer skills, with some data entry experience.
  • Strong Customer Service skills that will enhance the interaction with the providers, operational teams and clients
  • Be able to identify mistakes or inconsistencies in medical reports and work with physician to correct.
