As Media Planner/Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work with the best Media Team around on a local level, out of our Atlanta field office. We are growing quickly and reinventing the way media works in an integrated marketing environment.
If you have at least 4+ years experience in media planning at an advertising agency, and understand that the changing consumer and digital environment creates opportunities to really move the needle …we need to talk.
Primary responsibilities include helping to develop and maintain media plans for clients and markets. You’ll work with the buying team to ensure executions of those plans. You’ll maintain all budget and flowchart responsibility for assigned clients and markets. Media Planner/Supervisor is the Client and Account Service interface for the Media department on all client business, including travel to markets to present plans, or address market issues as needed.
60% Market Planning:
Core Responsibilities to be approved by Media Strategist prior to communicating with Media Team and Account Service: - Travel to meetings as required
- Media Calendar
- Planning template; development of CPP’s & media specs
- Global budget along with monthly billing reconciliation
- Customized client presentations
- Negotiation and Placement of OOH and print
- Ensuring all media plans are executed based on media specs provided for all mediums (i.e. broadcast and digital)
- Direction on added-value
15% Topic Expert within POD: - Act as a filter for information, develop POV on how it applies to market list, stay informed of industry and be point person for executing.
- Collaborate with Media Strategists on initiatives
- Defined as two roles
- Traditional: Examples include Integrated Sponsorships (i.e. Sports sponsorships, TV product), Radio (i.e. DJ Endorsements), Print, OOH
- Emerging: Examples include Interactive (including Digital, Mobile, OOH), Cinema
10% Growth of Talent/Innovation: - Agency training opportunities
- Training and Partnering with Jr. Media Planner
15% Field Interaction (Team in the field): - Additional Co-Op meeting attendance
- Vendor, Operator and/or Region meeting attendance
- Market activation (i.e. outdoor, product launches, etc)

Travel: 25% Mostly day trips to the Carolina and occasional overnight travel is required for training purposes.

Job Requirements:
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 4+ years media experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Strata/SMBS would be beneficial
- Intermediate level experience with MS Office
- Utilization of proprietary software will be trained
