A Typical Day Will Include:


As a Medical Affairs Manager working on the Medical Affairs Team, you will be empowered to set and provide the strategic direction and you will have overall responsibility for the medical affairs activities, including studies, medical educational activities, and medical compliance for all products within the therapeutic area. As a Medical Affairs Manager you will ensure execution of the therapeutic area strategy and builds and maintains trusted medical / scientific relationships with health care professionals. In this role, you will also manage and lead the medical team consisting of Medical Scientific Liaison(s) (MSL).

 

Accountabilities

  • Represent therapeutic area in local, regional internal and external forums
  • Be in charge of managerial and medical leadership and direction for Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area (TA) department including budget, recruitment and development of team members
  • Be in charge for development and execution of local medical product strategies for the respective portfolio of products that are aligned with EUCAN and local brand teams (marketing, KAM and market access)
  • Remains up to date on the latest relevant scientific literature
  • Establish and maintain successful scientific interactions and relationships with thought leaders, medical and pharmacy professions
  • Be responsible for providing country high level medical expertise for the development projects and studies (e.g. phase III/IV and RWE studies), including strategic and operational feasibility and conduct support
  • Provide medical support for trainings of sales force and medical scientific liaisons when requested and attend at congresses
  • Provide high level medical expertise to internal stakeholders such as Marketing, KAM, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Quality Assurance
  • Provide external medical training on therapeutic area and respective products to health care professionals
  • Be responsible for medical review related to the respective therapeutic area
  • Assure compliance with laws, CGR/EFPIA as well as global and local Takeda policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions
