CHS is seeking an experienced Medical Assistants to work at our onsite corporate medical clinic in Round Rock, TX at Dell. Clinic hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 9am-6pm.
The Medical Assistant will be doing procedures such as Vital Signs; Ear Irrigation; Drawing Blood; Obtaining Specimens, Aiding the Providers with Physical. Call for referrals at different physician offices; setting appointments with other physicians and any other procedures as deemed necessary and have training for .
SCOPE:
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a high school diploma and medical assistant certificate and 2-3 years of experience in a related field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or American Registry of Medical Assistants is required.
Prefer experience with electronic medical record keeping systems.
Experience in family practice desired.
