Medical Assistant - OB/GYN (Monona Clinic)

About the Job

The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinic's patient care team that includes registered nurses, technicians, clerical staff, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians. The Medical Assistant performs technical, patient related functions and clerical functions in the ambulatory setting under limited supervision. The MA is also aware of the psychosocial needs of patients and families.

There is potential for evening and weekend hours in the future.

Minimum Requirements Include:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (One year program at Vocational School) and is certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Medical Assistant Association.
 Preferred (Education, Experience, Skills):
  • Previous experience in clinic setting.
  • Experience with Obstetrics/Gynecology and/or Internal Medicine patient population.
  • EPIC experience a plus.
