The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinic's patient care team that includes registered nurses, technicians, clerical staff, and nurse practitioners physician assistants and physicians. The Medical Assistant performs technical, patient related functions and clerical functions in the ambulatory setting under limited supervision. The Medical Assistant is also aware of the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
This position may cover occasional early evening/weekend shifts at Pediatrics After Hours clinic. Potential for early evening hours at West Washington Clinic in the future. May be expected to cover at other various Meriter Medical Group Clinics.
Minimum Requirements Include:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and is certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Medical Assistant Association.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor, ability to prioritize tasks and work as a team member.
