We are seeking a Medical Billing and Collections Specialist for our Billing Center. In this position you wll be responsible for the
collection of all billing center accounts receivables.
Job Responsibilities: - Sorting, logging, and reviewing all incoming correspondenceProcessing rejections and denials to determine if a claim needs to be refilled or submitted or an appeal with the payer.
- Reviews patient information to determine why claims may be unpaid
- Validate and process all payer appeal requests and patient adjustments
- Processes doctor and insurance changes, financial assistance applications, and Hospice/Nursing Home delivery tickets
- Documents all collections activity in IMBS, Rotech’s proprietary medical billing system
- Other duties as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications including, but not limited to Word and Excel
- General knowledge of internet navigation and research, e-mail, fax transmission, copy equipment, and medical billing
