The Medical Coder is a professional with experience and knowledge in coding and billing. The Medical Coder provides training and education to staff on CPT and ICD-9 coding, as well as support services as requested by administration and management.

The Medical Coders are responsible for remaining abreast on current billing and coding rules and regulations for all carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care) and disseminating updated information throughout the clinic. The Medical Coder assists with developing and maintaining the Clinic's charge masters, fees, CPT, and ICD-9 dictionaries.

Requirements:

This position requires a concentrated amount of knowledge in the field of medical billing and coding with consideration of a multi-special group practice dynamic. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. CPC preferred but not required.
