Medical Credentialing Specialist

IPC THE HOSPITALIST COMPANY is a publicly held leading national physician group practice company focused on the delivery of hospitalist medicine services. IPC's physicians and affiliated providers manage the care of hospitalized patients in coordination with primary care physicians and specialists.


 


We have an immediate opening for a Medical Credentialing Specialist in our Las Vegas office.  The MEDICAL CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST is responsible for credentialing new providers in the market as well as re-credentialing existing providers.


 


Requirements 




  • Maintain detailed tracking schedule on status of hospital staff privileges and payor provider numbers.


  • Follow up with medical staff offices to expedite hospital privileges for physicians.


  • Establish systematic process to follow up on all outstanding provider numbers for payors.


  •  Interface with physicians prior to their start date to collect all of the necessary employment and credentialing forms


  • Maintain physicians’ files and coordinate documentation with corporate office.


  • Complete check requests required for application fees for facilities, health plans and other reimbursements. 


  • Track expiration dates for licenses and certificates. 


  •  Coordinate renewal processes with physicians
