Summary:
Responsible for product assembly, in-home customer evaluation and training, product delivery and service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Daily delivery and service of all The SCOOTER Store (TSS) products to customers within the coverage area of the Distribution Center
• Perform all adjustments to the products to meet customer’s needs; identify issues, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance.
• On every call, perform a needs assessment of the home environment, customers’ physical
capabilities and vehicle to recommend products and accessories and initiate sales transaction when needed
• Follow up on pre- and post delivery/service issues
• Perform service and/or installation on lifts, ramps and similar accessories in the customers vehicle
• Properly conduct and document home and client evaluations or service work orders
• Perform inventory control procedures, to include receiving new inventory, accurately completing proper inventory procedures to reconcile inventory stocks and efficiently organizing stock, assembling and maintaining durable medical equipment at the Distribution Center using basic tools
• Ensure all paperwork is signed and processed correctly
• Contact customers to confirm delivery and service dates and times
• Provide demonstration and training to all customers on daily use of the Scooter or Power Chair
• Exhibit knowledge of technical attributes of DME industry, and serve as a consultant and product knowledge expert in the field to enhance the sales process.
• Ensure all safety and general maintenance procedures of The SCOOTER Store’s company vehicles and facilities are adhered to and completed, including keeping workspace, van and facilities neatly maintained
• Build relationships with customers and the medical community to generate customer referrals.
• Assist and support the Distribution Center and Distribution Center Manager in any function required
• Take appropriate action in a timely manner to accomplish objectives and achieve set goals
• Adhere to all local, state and federal requirements such as ACHC, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous work with bar coding inventory management systems preferred
• Previous work with lift/walkie stacker preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Valid Driver’s License with proof of clean driving record
