About the Job

The Institute for Medical Education and Research (IMER) is a dynamic and growing organization, who is a leader in continuing medical education (CME) / continuing education (CE) for physicians, nurses and other health professionals specializing in oncology.  We provide accredited professional continuing education through a variety of live, online and print programs highlighting current research focusing primarily on oncology and hematology.  We have an immediate opening for a Medical Grant Writer - Oncology.

 

The position is based or in our headquarters in Miami, FL.  Below please find a summary of the job description. 

 

Job Overview:

This individual will write medical grants for oncology CME and CE programs

 

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Compiles, writes and edits grant proposals exhibiting strong expository skills.

·       Works with Company clinical team to identify and create key grant components (e.g. target audience, needs assessment, program description, etc.)

·       Researches grant-funding supporters, e.g. pharmaceutical companies and their products, analyzing and identifying potential program and funding opportunities for specific projects and programs as directed

·       Have knowledge and understanding of target organization, e.g, ACCME, ANCC, AANP, AAPA and uses that knowledge and understanding to increase likelihood of funding

·       Ability to complete deliverables in timeline driven environment

·       Ability to work from “shell” documents, building on existing grant outline

·       Manages multiple projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Oncology grant writing experience required
  • BS, MS or advanced degree in medical or healthcare related field
  • Medical education experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ACCME/ANCC guidelines preferred
  • Writing samples must be submitted for consideration
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills
  • Functions effectively in deadline driven environment
  • Excellent oral communication, written communication, and editorial skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • Well versed in ongoing current industry-related trends and topics
