The Biomedical Services Division of the American Red Cross has several openings for experienced customer service and medical counseling staff at our 24 hour customer service center.
Donor Counselor: Counsel and educate blood donors. Responsible for follow up with donors including scheduling testing, referrals and case investigation. Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent, plus experience in counseling. Ability to speak fluent Spanish a plus.
Donor Care Qualification Specialist: Responsible for providing extraordinary customer service and maintaining donor files. Requires a two year degree, certification, or equivalent experience in health care services, such as work experience in blood banking, patient care, or medical health screening. Must have excellent customer service and computer skills. Ability to speak fluent Spanish a plus.
Client Support Specialist: Initiates out bound contact with hospitals and Red Cross staff, and is responsible for inventory records, meeting quality control standards, and providing service to hospitals and other clients. Requires a two year degree, certification or equivalent experience in customer service or a health care field. Must have strong attention to detail and computer skills.
Opportunities are available on various shifts, as we provide support to our customers on a 24/7 basis. Experience in Quality, Medical Records, Pharmaceuticals, or Laboratory testing is very helpful.
After extensive training, successful candidates will be required to complete all activities with a very high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
