Our Health and Life Sciences Division is currently seeking a Technician Trainee. This position located in Columbus, Ohio.
Position Responsibilities
Perform analysis of clinical laboratory specimens from laboratory animals using Advia 120, cobas c501, ACL800 and clinitek analyzers as well as microscopic examination of pathology specimens and other standard analytic techniques of laboratory medicine. Analysis supports toxicology studies in laboratory animals. Laboratory performs analysis under GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) regulations; knowledge of and adherence to these regulations a must. Duties are performed on weekdays for the most part, but weekends, holidays and evening assignments can occur. Cross-training in animal necropsy needed.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP)
High School diploma or equivalent
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Prefer experience in clinical pathology laboratories, highly prefer experience with veterinary or laboratory animal clinical pathology, prefer experience with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices of Food and Drug Administration)
