Medical Science Liaison (MSL) 2009B2KK
3 positions in the following regions: North Central, South Central, South East
These are field-based positions that cover a specific geographical region and focus on the scientific and clinical aspects of oncology. In 2010, the hope is to increase the number of MSL positions and reduce territory coverage. The MSL is to engage in professional and OIG/FDA compliant activities that advance research and knowledge related to the CTI product portfolio. These activities optimize the treatment options available to cancer patients while supporting the medical community and contributing to the overall success of CTI. Key activities of a CTI MSL include: Acting as a professional and knowledgeable resource to KOLs engaged in research or clinical use of CTI products; evaluating, in collaboration with CTI’s Medical Team, the scientific and clinical merits of investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs); evaluating potential research sites’ capabilities including investigator qualifications, infrastructure, enrollment history and publication record; attending and reporting on scientific/cooperative group meetings and conferences; seeking expert opinion from KOLs through one-on-one meetings and/or scientific advisory boards; participating in interdepartmental teams with members from the marketing, clinical and sales teams to optimize product potential and providing internal education and updates on advancements in treating cancer. Requires at least a BSN, R.Ph. (or equivalent) or a medical/scientific degree such as an MD, Ph.D., or Pharm.D (advanced degree preferred). In addition, 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company as an MSL. Prior oncology experience is a must. Incumbent must have demonstrated: UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLIANCE and GCP; skills essential in making sound decisions; ability to communicate, interpret and report on scientific and clinical findings and professionally interface with KOLs.
