We offer a wide array of locations and specialties for individuals in the following areas: Medical Social Work Employment Opportunities As a medical social work professional, the chosen candidates will be relied on to provide psychodynamic interventions, crisis intervention, grief/bereavement counseling, problem solving, and stress reduction services, in addition to developing healthy coping strategies in individual/family/group settings. Key functions will include conducting psychosocial, financial, and safety assessments; providing supportive or crisis counseling for patients and families experiencing medical or psychological trauma; and providing education about Kaiser Permanente, community, and governmental resources. Chosen candidates will provide advocacy in the Kaiser Permanente system and community for patients and families, and provide consultation and assistance with discharge planning and outpatient member needs. Other duties will include conducting family conferences and advance care planning. All candidates must have a master’s degree in social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education, along with at least one year of relevant experience providing counseling and resources for disease acceptance, and understanding in a medical environment.
