Medical Technologist (Microbiology)
Monmouth Medical Center is one of New Jersey's largest community teaching hospitals, where physicians work as a team dedicated to academic excellence, clinical competence, and comprehensive and compassionate patient care. To receive, log and process various types of bodily fluids and tissues. From these specimens, then determination of pathogenic levels of compounds and the isolation of pathogenic bacterial, parasites, and fungi are performed including antibiograms where necessary for patient treatment.
For more than 100 years, Monmouth Medical Center has been the leader in central New Jersey in providing the best in health care and the latest in medical technology to the nearly 1 million residents that comprise its primary service area of Monmouth County, and portions of Ocean and Middlesex counties.
BA/BS Degree. Area of Concentration: Medical Technology or Biology. Three years college/one year internship.
American Society of Medical Technology certification or eligible.
National Certification Agency for Medical laboratory Personnel certification or eligible.
