Location: Tucson, AZ
Salary Range: 45-65K, full benefits including medical and dental, 2 weeks’ vacation 1st year, 401k- 50% matching!!
Travel: 75% including domestic and international Travel
Positions Summary:
We are seeking a meeting planner, with strong tactical skills, to do event planning for Pharmaceutical and Clinical Events clients for a 3rd party event planning company. Our client is growing and expanding their Project Management and Meeting planning division.
The Meeting Planner will be a liaison between vendors, hotels, and be able to plan events with up to 1000 attendees. The ideal candidate must be Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time. If you have current Meeting Planning, Food and Beverage, Restaurant, Resort, Hospitality experience and you’re based in Tucson we’d like to see your resume!
Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest and/or experience in Meeting Planning/Event Management along with a keen interest to travel with a strong Client Services and project management skillset. We are not opposed to working with junior candidates who have recently graduated from a strong 4 year University that have the drive and will to succeed. Our preference is that the individual reside in the Tucson area and must be willing to travel up to 75% nationally and internationally. Our client has had success in this role with Food and Beverage Directors for upscale hotels, hospitality professionals, 3rd Party Event Planners, or Meeting planning professionals.
Requirements:
1.) Strong interest in traveling-75% domestic and international Travel required.
2.) Previous work for a large 3rd party meeting planning company helpful.
3.) Alpha/outgoing personality with a strong customer facing preference.
4.) Need enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills and a strong multi-tasker preferred.
5.) Negotiation skills needed for pricing, inventory, and vendors.
6.) Tucson area resident required (or willingness to relocate)
7.) Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required.
8.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9.) Bilingual helpful but not preferred.
