Altarum Institute is seeking a Meetings Design Manager to assist in the design, planning, and management of meetings and training events for the Access to Recovery ATR) Technical Assistance contract with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This position will support the ATR Director of Meeting and Training Design in both content and logistics of ATR grantee meetings and grassroots community-based trainings and meetings.Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reports directly to the Director of Meeting and Training Design to support and maintain the project/teams direction
• Assist the Director with the planning and execution of an Annual Grantee Meeting, Interfaith Summit, and regional capacity-building meetings
• Assist in developing and managing workplans for contract deliverables
• Assist in developing meeting agendas, workshop content and composition, and learning materials
• Coordinate with the Altarum Meetings and Conferences Department to oversee registration, logistics, and materials production
• Help plan and develop the work team
• Coordinate learning objectives, evaluation measures, and CEUs
•Contract and oversee work with consultants, as necessary.
Requirements:
• Master's degree (or work equivalent) with 3-5 years of relevant work experience on contracts or projects serving public and community-based programs.
• Experience working with high-level Federal and State government officials preferred, as well as community-based programs
• Experience in Public Health and working knowledge of substance use disorders and addiction recovery
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiencies in writing, conceptualizing, and operationalizing workplans.
• Working both independently and collaboratively on a team to reach shared goals, objectives, and deliverables
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work and multiple projects.
• Detail-oriented and a creative problem solver
• Working knowledge of meeting and training evaluation
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
