We are currently recruiting for a Member Technical Staff for a one year assignment in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have an extensive Radio Frequency background in addition to an extensive System Administration background and experience with military C4I systems. A military communications SINCGARS and/or electronic system background is strongly desired. Special Operations experience is a plus. This position provides testing, training, and fielding support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services. Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of designated systems and services. Applies military and commercial applications and provide solutions to customers. Applies expert experienced level diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures. This position will be located in Kuwait.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Equivalent Education Level Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Sciences, Communication Engineering, Management Information System (MIS), or closely related discipline. Eight (8) years of experience in management, supervision, and leadership may be substituted for degree. BSEE or Military Technical schooling/ASEE and 4 years of experience.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience with SINCGARS radio systems (installation, operation, and second/third level test) with a minimum of two years overseas field experience.
Must have a minimum of two years experience of progressively responsible experience in data network installation, engineering, and/or network systems administration. Must have a minimum of two years experience with one of the following situational awareness applications: (C2PC/ FBCB-2-EPLRS / FBCB2-BFT / S-TBMS).
Must have a solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with routers & switches, and wireless technology. Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills are required. Experience setting up and managing C4ISR systems is preferred. Must have strong communications skills and knowledge of military C4ISR communication systems and techniques as well as technical expertise in pertinent areas of technology specific to the group's mission. Must have strong analytical skills and be able to resolve complex technical issues without assistance. Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently. Must possess above average organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills. Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a willingness to learn. Knowledge of international and long logistics chain multi-site projects is preferable. A current or within scope DoD Secret Security clearance is required. Arabic language knowledge is considered a strong plus.
Additionally, CCNA, MCSE, Network + or A+ highly desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) Certification preferred.
Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
