Our watch business is strongly represented with top brands from fashion to sport, prestige, and connoisseur categories. ICL also features designer sunglasses, accessories, soft goods, cigars and travel-retail driven souvenir businesses.


 


ICL has 29 locations on the island Grand Cayman, 9 of which are significant watch and jewelry stores. The company has over 40 head office employees and over 150 management and associate staff at retail.  We are part of the Active Capital Ltd. group of companies, a division of Dart Enterprises and strongly positioned for continued future growth in the Cayman Islands and throughout the region.


 


We are looking for a Merchandise Planner & Business Analyst to join our busy team.


The post holder will be responsible for the following duties:


 




  • Lead the effort to design, build, and maintain a data warehouse and management reporting structure, ideally resulting in a ‘dashboard’ reporting format;


  • Complete regular and repeating performance reports to support the retail, merchandising, and marketing teams; Automate reporting whenever possible;


  • Collaborate with external data providers such as the Department of Tourism to provide management with performance against key indicators such as tourism traffic;


  • Identify, define, collect, and track key business metrics for new and existing product categories;


  • Analyze performance reports together with the VP of Finance in preparation for weekly management meetings; proactively identify problem areas and obtain the detail for action plans to be formed;


  • Complete detailed analyses at the request of the senior management team such as category, vendor, district, store, or employee performance;


  • Standardize reports for critical partners such as vendors and marketing companies to facilitate business reviews and contract negotiations;


  • Participate in senior management meetings and proactively provide information to drive and support company initiatives;


  • Research market trends to support budget forecasts and revisions


  • Provide basic training to users of the reports that are designed; Document procedures for how to use reports correctly;


  • Participate in other finance team projects as required.

 


Applicants will be screened according to the following job requirements:


 




  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, MIS or a related area;


  • Thorough understanding of management reporting and a mature understanding of how management  reports need to be presented;


  • Meticulous attention to detail;


  • Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Great Plains accounting system is required;


  • Advanced skills in producing reports through data management tools such as Excel PivotTables, SRS database queries, etc.;


  • CPA, CMA, CA or similar designation is required;


  • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills, and patience;

Interested? If you possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or MIS, a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment, advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including PivotTables, excellent teamwork foundations, strong organizational skills with good attention to detail, and an ability to learn and work independently in a fast-paced retail environment, so are we.
