This position plans and forecasts future merchandise buys based on historical sales and current inventory levels. Additional responsibilities include: partnering with merchandising to ensure accurate plans for new merchandise based on market trends; identifying sales opportunities through effective strategic planning and execution that achieve financial goals; re-projecting catalog and internet sales and markdowns based on trends, receipt flow and promotions; monitoring business weekly to identify and maximize opportunities; developing and providing appropriate business analysis to influence future purchases and assortment strategies; and providing analytical support to the merchandising staff to ensure a balanced and profitable assortment.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree along with 3-5 years of Merchandise Planning experience. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
