Job Description
The Merchandise Presentation Manager drives the customer experience from a merchandise presentation handling and presentation perspective. The Merchandise Presentation Manager is responsible for translating the business plans and strategies developed by the General Manager into day-to-day implementation plans and actions for teams. - Directs brand appropriate strategic merchandising to maximize sales
- Drives brand loyalty by presenting an outstanding shopping experience that includes a neat, clean, sized and replenished floor
- Implements action plans to improve key performance indicators to maximize business opportunities
- Assesses the effectiveness of the supervisor team and staff by providing the appropriate level of performance feedback
- Provides in the moment feedback to staff to maximize sales
- Provides GM with feedback on team members
- Leads and inspires customer centric culture by recognizing and rewarding team
- Creates development and training plans for direct reports
- Creates hiring plans
- Ensures recruitment from a diverse applicant pool
- Monitors and enforces adherence to all corporate policies (e.g., dress code, return policy, safety, LP, etc.) as directed by policy and procedure
- Ensures community involvement to drive brand awareness and loyalty
- Ensures adherence to company standards for all non-sell activities
- Oversees inventory procedures by assigning duties and supervising the counting process to ensure high data integrity standards are maintained according to corporate inventory guidelines
- Oversees the implementation and follow-up of marketing elements for current promotions to ensure that signage is displayed according to visual direction
- Conducts weekly visual merchandising walk-throughs with key staff members
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years retail experience with emphasis on store operations and/or customer service
- Ability to be analytical, problem solve and manage projects
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to work nights and weekends as appropriate to schedule requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 30lbs
- Ability to maneuver around sales floor, back room and office areas
- College degree preferred
