JOB NAME: Metal Finishing Line Leader
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
To ensure efficient and on-time metal finishing production demands. Leads production team and works with other internal/external resources to keep Metal Finishing site in compliance with all Company quality, regulatory, safety, manufacturing practices, policies, and procedures.
DUTIES:
1. Leads, instructs, and trains hourly employees in all aspects of the job, including proper techniques, work instructions, production methods, quality assurance and site operations.
2. Works in conjunction with Production Manager’s and Human resources on all personnel issues including performance reviews and necessary disciplinary actions.
3. Promotes communication and teamwork with a focus on quality, efficiency and good housekeeping throughout the site.
4. Assures that internal and external customer’s products are processed in accordance with instructions and programs designed by the Quality Department and that all customer’s products meet the specification and quality requirements.
5. Assists in planning labor requirements, adjusting as necessary to maintain flexibility in order to meet customer needs as well as keeping labor costs and labor rates within Company guidelines.
6. Presents improvement ideas relating to the job such as methods, procedures, techniques, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, safety, quality, and other related improvements.
7. Promotes employee safety and positive morale.
8. Performs administrative tasks such as completing packing slips and invoicing. Will perform processes associated with Customer Service and Shipping & Receiving requirements.
9. Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
SUPERVISION:
· Direct supervision responsibilities for hourly production team.
· Reports to Manufacturing Manager.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
· Requires High School Education.
· One year experience in a labor intensive production/manufacturing environment required.
· Knowledge of Anodizing, Passivation, or Film Coating is highly desired.
· Demonstrated ability to work in ERP environment.
· Previous success in leading in a continuously changing environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Accountable for manufacturing efficiency of MediFinish site.
