Education Manager has the responsibility for continuous improvement and development of education in the categories of Matrix Hair Color, Texture, Haircare and Styling Brands. They must work closely with Global Marketing, International Education team members and Global Education, to create dynamic, creative and progressive educational support materials. To support the development process, the Education Manager must spend a portion of their time working on models in the Technical Salon and provide feedback on product performance to the Marketing team as well as Research and Development. As a member of the educational team, the Education Manager must be energetic, positive and focused on the needs of hairdressers, and the timely delivery of our products, services and systems. They must have good understanding of the requirements needed to be able to facilitate trainings of the education information that has been developed. They must be able to support the preparation of global launches, though the organization of trainings and new product launches, with a good understanding of Matrix Global brand and education philosophy. They must have a strong cultural awareness of our diverse markets.

Goals and Objectives:
Responsible for the development and writing of education materials for Matrix Haircolor and Haircare and Styling Brands, including but not limited to, SOCOLOR, SOCOLOR.beauty, Relaxima, other straightening products, and Asia texture platform, and haircare and styling.

Consultant will support:
' Global Marketing for the development of education materials for new Product launches with innovative launch strategies. (i.e. handbooks, swatchbooks, wallcharts,etc)
' Global Marketing and Education with Product information up-dates
' Global Education in the preparation of international trainings by assisting in the preparation of the training binders and content. 5 times per year
' Trend Collections ' 2 times per year
' Education development specializing in Cultural differences in Hairdressing where applicable to writing education materials.
' Product and skills training to internal and external team members when needed.
' Product testing to support education development, and feed back to marketing and research and development.
' Technical Education on the development of C.R.A.F.T. programs


Ability to adapt all above responsibilities to the current and future Matrix educational philosophies.


Requirements:
' Commitment and flexibility to work within the strategic choices made by general management.
' Strong and competent creative writing skills.
' Strong technical hairdressing skills, especially in the area of Color and Texture.
' Self Starter with excellent organizational skills.
' Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft applications, ie. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
' Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
' Must have a professional attitude and function well in a team environment.
' Flexibility
' Ability to Travel
' Commitment to personal development and continuous learning.
' Must have a hairdressing background with at least 5 years of educator experience, or 3 years educational development experience.
' Bachelor's Degree desired, current cosmetology license required.
