About the Job

:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing plans that reduce cost, improve performance and reduce risk in the company’s benefit programs and other corporate Human Resource initiatives while maintaining compliance. Responsible for compliance, analysis and administration of all employee retirement and deferred compensation programs including: Defined Benefit Pension Plans and 401(k) Plans. Overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and analysis of employee benefit programs to include medical, dental, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, health and welfare programs and others. The successful candidate will also be responsible for oversight of Vought’s compensation program including job evaluation, administration of the performance appraisal and merit review programs, conduct position classification studies and prepare reports and perform job audits and analyses of individual positions, classes and series of classes.
This position will have a small but dedicated team of professionals assisting in all aspects of design, implementation, contract negotiations, communications, cost, and compliance and will report directly to the VP Human Resources.

 

:

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

• Solicit & evaluate proposals from third party administrators; negotiate, implement and manage the resulting contracts
• Compile reports from complex benefit systems
• Assess multiple plan design options to determine the choice that best meet Vought’s objectives
• Develop and implement communication strategy; including working closely with the Legal department to ensure that all required communications and filings are completed in a timely manner
• Provide support to Labor Relations for union negotiations as it pertains to benefit programs
• Participate in surveys and benchmarking for benefit programs and other HR services
• Manage various outsourced HR tasks including: staffing, travel, hosted Internet third party systems
• Review and approve Retiree Drug Subsidy applications and requests for payment with CMS
• Evaluate present programs through research, surveys, and analysis of benefit trends to ensure plans are competitive and current.
• Support company and plan audits
• Comply with SOX requirements

 

:

The successful candidate will typically have a Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of related experience.
• Master’s Degree and CEBS certification preferred
• Extensive experience in benefit design and analysis, retirement plan administration and compliance, and wellness program development, implementation and ROI analysis is a must
• Ability to demonstrate strong project management, problem solving and researching skills
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code (benefit related), ADA, FMLA, HIPAA and COBRA regulations
• Proven ability to remain knowledgeable on current legislation and industry trends, and integrate them into a strategy for the corporation that meets financial and workforce objectives
• Ability to work closely with consultants and executives to prepare sophisticated presentations for the Board of Directors and presentations for employees at all levels
