Job Description:
This position is the key to driving the growth of the Raytheon Virtual Technology (RVTC) business unit. With a current AOP of 36M for 2007 the incumbant in this position will be responsible for a growth targeted of 20% CAGR resulting in over $300M in business (total) over the next 5 years. This position will support Corporate, NCS and C2S initiatives to grow International business, achieve C2 synergy and develop MSI capabilities. The encumbent in this position must be a recognized expert in the Modeling and Simulation field, capable of operating at high levels in customer organizaitons and have the ability to leverage the capabilities of the broader Raytheon into this Market space. In addition the incumbent will be the key support for strategically valuable captures such as the PEO STRI Omnibus Contract (STOCII) an IDIQ vehicle worth in excess of $1B. Will identify opportunities, domestically and internationally and lead the qualification, pursuit and capture of new business.
Additionally, the scope of this position includes responsibility for and management of the allocated discretionary budget (e.g. selling, B&P, IRAD) and the Bookings for the Annual Operating Plan. Branding activity, media relations, trade shows and support to congressinal leasison staff are encompassed by this position.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Contribute to the RVTC growth by identifying and developing new capabilities.
- Accomplish requirements and operational capabilities analyses to determine those areas where new capbilitities are necessary to complete and to grow the business both in the domestic and international markeplace.
- Lead strategy development. Present capability definition strategy to the RVTC Leadership Team.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing and pursuit strategies for new capabilities.
2. Drive RVTC growth by expanding markets for current capabilities.
- Constantly researching the market and customer community to identify new opportunities that are a "match" with RVTC capabilities, technologies, strategies and goals.
-Sell complex solutions into the DoD simulation community.
3. Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring effective dissemination of program information to enable RVTC to timely and effectively respond to customer needs.
- Provide the voice of the customer to RVTC. Have the ability to understand complex technologies and communicate to key technical and management decision makers.
- Part of the leadership team to develop the Annual operating Plan, Strategic Five-Year Plan and Strategic Dialog inclulding discretional resource requirements.
- continually review and monitor status of program/pursuit activity both internally and externally and suggest revisions and/or updates to these plans as appropriate.
Required :
Demonstrated success selling complex solutions into the DoD simulation community.
Hands on experience across the business development lifecycle.
Experience capturing $5M+ contracts as Capture Manager.
Demonstrated experience developing and reviewing proposals.
Proven Business Development success, record of opening doors and nurturing long-term relationships.
Effective at identifying, qualifying, and successfully pursuing new initiatives.
Travel required, CONUS and OCONUS.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Very firm grasp of the relevant technical domain.
Able to understand complex technologies and communicate to key technical and management decision makers.
Security Clearance : Ability to obtain a Secret level DOD security clearance.
Required Experience/Education (Including Major): 10 years experience with a Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree.
Desired :
Experience managing proposal development.
Military experience in a simulation environment.
Very well connected within the DoD simulation community.
Master's degree.
