Position Description:
The Anatomic Services Manager will have responsibilities for the successful operation of this combined service area of the laboratory and at all WakeMed facilities that require anatomic service support. This position will have responsibilities for all anatomic services within the WakeMed system. This includes all facilities and the following disciplines: Cytology, Histology, and Autopsy Services. Responsibilities will include effective selection and management of supervisory personnel, technical personnel, and customer service personnel. Also included is financial management of expenses and labor, quality assurance/CQI, regulatory affairs to include CAP, CLIA, JCAHO,HIPAA, and others, training and education of staff, and development of an excellent customer service delivery for Anatomic Services system wide.

Experience Required:
3 - 5 Years

Preferred Experience:
Minimum of four years in a management role in an anatomic laboratory setting in a major medical center, and a minimum of five years working as a technologist in an anatomical laboratory. Special preference for a manager with successful outreach experience..

Preferred Education:
BS/BA in life science with national certification in cytology and/or histology. Strongly prefer MBA or equivalent business education..
