About the Job

Essential Job Functions
Will be expected to be responsible for managing Business Services Hudson Valley Region team of account executives focused on field sales of voice, data and video sales within a defined sales territory. Responsible for the planning, directing and day-to-day management of a field-based sales team. Oversee all team personnel activities concerning hiring, training/ development and sales performance evaluation. Responsible for achieving a monthly team revenue quota in data, phone and video sales. Translates approved sales priorities into sales plans and programs for the account executive team. Prepare regular sales activities reporting for presentation to senior management. Oversee the processing of commercial sales orders and documentation required for accurate and timely turn-up of accounts. Insure consistency and accuracy by all team members of sales databases that are necessary to report sales activity and customer information. Enforce all department and company policies and practices to insure sales process integrity. Coordinate work flow between supporting teams and departments. Work in conjunction with business services support personnel, including sales support and marketing personnel. Conduct weekly team meetings to review sales team performance to defined goals. Serve as a company PR liaison at industry, community and vertical market events and attend all sales meetings and training sessions as required by management.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred or equivalent training, education and experience. Requires three or more years of sales management experience, preferably managing teams selling data, voice and/or video solutions in the commercial telecommunications market. Position requires a proven track record of success in managing a quota based sales team. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Requires ability to multitask, as well as work efficiently and effectively within required deadlines. Plans, staffs, evaluates and direct work to employees in unit. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and must be able to sit for long periods of time.
