Microbiology Lab Technician

Job Description

 

Manufactures various biological and diagnostic products to the finished bulk stage.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manufacture and assay assigned product lines in accordance with manufacturing formulas, corporate policies and in compliance with good manufacturing practices. Bulk product manufacture may include manufacture of intermediate or component solutions, media, etc. Manufacturing responsibilities will require knowledge and performance of appropriate techniques including sterile techniques, sterile filtration, chromatography, etc.
  • Initiate and complete process improvements of current procedures.
  • Responsible for product batch records, changes to procedural documentation required under GMPs, GLPs, OSHA, EPA and corporate policies.  Performs final review of all bulk manufacturing shop orders prior to release to Quality Assurance.

 

Job Qualifications

·         Bachelors Degree, Microbiology or Biology Preferred

·         3 years of professional Laboratory experience

·         Bacteria Cultures
