Job
Preferred candidate will undertake a variety of tasks on energy assessment/renewable energy projects including but not limited to field work such as electrical/lighting efficiencies, HVAC commissioning/re-commissioning, renewable energy feasibility studies, and  heating/cooling efficiencies  as well as office work such as data input, analysis, modelling and reporting. Field work will be a key component of this job and the flexibility to travel is strongly preferred.

Accountabilities
Successful candidate will be a member of the Minneapolis office and serve as a resource in the area of energy assessment, renewable energy, and energy/environmental compliance. 


Knowledge
Preferred candidates will possess, at a minimum, 2 year college Diploma in environmental / civil / electrical / mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree. Other qualifications and assets may include, but not required:
• Certification as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Energy Manager In Training (EMIT) or ability and desire to achieve such (or similar) certification
• Working knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling (HVAC) systems, and their impact on energy consumption
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1
• Working knowledge of Renewable Energy Resources and their applicability to facilities
• Energy Assessment experience in commercial, residential, industrial, and/or military settings
• Working knowledge of LCCID, BLCC, E-Quest,  and DOE-2 software preferred
• Ability to be well organized, and possess a strong work ethic
• Ability to be able to work independently or in a team setting
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness to provide other, unrelated technical field support and acquire OSHA HAZWOPER training
