Job Description:
Summary: Responsible for database creation, implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for software applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assists in the evaluation, installation and maintenance of the database management system (DBMS) software and related software products.
* Develops clear and concise communications targeted to meet specific performance requirements.
* Assists in setting up and maintaining data structures and database environments to support production, performance and development activities.
* Develops, modifies and reuses data structure, access and entity relationship diagrams using available tools.
* Facilitates reusability and participates in the definition of operational standards for managing information assets
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Currently the eBanking team is managing 800+ databases with one DBA which leaves us with a single point of failure and also limiting the staff*s ability to manage the DB during personal time or crisis situations. Currently the pipeline for new installs has a number of large banks converting on to our systems which will increase the number of DB required to support. We are also rolling out mobile banking with 75 customers in the pipeline which will also require increased DB managementt
