Mid-Senior Level Software Developer
About the Job
The selected applicant will provide software development for Force Battle Command and Below/Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2/BFT). Development activities will include software design, unit test, and software development of aviation mission planning software.
Required Skills and Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of recent hands-on experience designing and developing MS Windows based, object oriented software applications with relational database back ends. Candidate must have proven knowledge of object oriented design and development and possess the ability to provide input to system architecture and system design decisions. Proficient to expert level of knowledge and experience developing optimized SQL along with stored procedures. The candidate must have relational database design knowledge. Experience implementing web services in a multi-tier architecture desired. Any experience or knowledge with developing or supporting software install/un-install programs on Windows XP and Vista platforms, TSL/SSL, data encryption/decryption, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), web based reporting is a plus.

Applicant must have experience using the MS .NET platform with Framework version 2.0 or later along with integrated unit testing, VSS, and C#. Prior experience working FBCB2/BFT. The candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Candidate would be required to produce and document object and GUI designs, develop code adhering to coding standards, and unit test solutions, modules, components based on requirements documentation. Advanced programmatic troubleshooting skills also required.
Candidate must be a team player and demonstrate willingness to communicate, mentor, and share ideas and knowledge with fellow team members, to include working and interacting with testing team members as needed.
Education: Applicant must have minimum of a BS in a recognized engineering or scientific discipline. Six years experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
