Mid to Senior UI Developer

Job Description

The Experience Architect is responsible for performing a lead role in the research and interaction design efforts for client applications and large-scaled websites.

 Responsibilities for our Senior Experience Architect:

 . Serve as a user experience lead by gathering requirements based on existing business processes, goals, user needs, by managing small UX teams, and by building consensus through strong communication, work, and client management

. Research and analyze the competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to website organization and information hierarchy

. Convey strategy by conducting collaborative workshops, using web analytic programs, and clearly explaining UX deliverables

. Create UX deliverables: task analyses, UI documents, user interaction models, information architecture diagrams, targeted conceptual mock-ups and prototypes, design briefs, design specs and guidelines, cms object models and screen flows with little direction

. Support Sales through representing User Experience, conveying strategy, and by thinking and reacting quickly

. Support the proposal process by creating strategy and clearly defining this in a proposal

. Collaborate with the internal creative and technical teams to ensure that website and application designs meet both client and end user needs

. Communicate updates to the project leads and or client on the progression of projects including setting clear expectations

. Ensure deliverables are on time and in budget

. Manage multiple deadlines and work with project managers to scope project tasks and levels of effort as they pertain to a project or deliverable for you and any team you're managing

. Innovate new deliverables as projects require

. Perform other duties as assigned

Education: Pref. Master's degree in HCI, computer science, or web design

 Experience: Five years experience in human factors, user interface design and information architecture specifically in the Web or Web-based application arena.

. Excellent client-facing consultative skills including the ability to lead clients, drive best practices, negotiate, and set clear expectations

. User focused, highly motivated, organized, able to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines

. Knowledge of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and information design

. Ability to analyze business requirements to define and improve applications and business processes

. Understanding of social networking and its features

. Ability to think beyond the deliverables.

. Ability to understand business metrics and view organizational needs with the goal of helping the client enhance ROI.

. Strong analytical skills supported with appropriate data.

. Experience evolving the Web presence of large-scale websites, large-scale media websites and web applications

. Strong understanding of industry tools for generating flow diagrams, user interface diagrams, and specifications

. Familiarity with e-Commerce best practices, non-profit and associations, CMS as it pertains to user experience, and Web analytics a plus
