This technical role will provide administration and support for the following types of Middleware products: WebLogic, WebCenter, JBOSS, Glassfish, TOMCAT, Informatica, COGNOS, Siebel, Anakam, EA Server, Open SSO, SOA, OSB, Apache running on Solaris, Red Hat Linux, or Windows operating systems. It is not required that the applicant be knowledgible or have experience with all of the software listed above.
· Ensures the effective daily operation of the production applications and provides administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations. · Application administration (Creating user accounts, administration, monitoring server statistics, etc.) · Middleware environment administration (Install, configure, migrations, tuning, reporting, and day to day administration) · Monitors the application systems for issues with disk space, CPU usage, memory problems or other issues that may impact the end-users. · Works with Application Development Organizations and various internal teams during application deployments. · Perform scheduled monthly maintenance weekend work. · Perform after-hours (on-call) emergency work as scheduled or required. · Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris), LINUX (Red Hat), and Windows Operating Systems is desired. · Administrative knowledge of WebLogic is desired. · Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture is desired. · Knowledge of Siebel 8.1 is desired. · Working knowledge of DB and infrastructure (Oracle RDBMS, Operating Systems, Networks, Hardware) · Excellent customer service skills · Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Ability to take ownership and work independently with limited supervision. · Unix shell, or WLST, or ANT, or JAVA scripting skills are desired. · Proficiency with MS Office applications. · Effective organizational, writing, and communication skills.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, and/or equivalent training and experience plus a minimum of 1 to 4 years of hands-on installation, configuration, support, and administration of Middleware products. |
