Reports To: Manager of Engineering
Location: Cote Blanche, LA
Compensation: $ 60,000 +/- (Commensurate with Experience)

OUR CLIENT: Is a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of
inorganic minerals and they are the third largest producer of salt in the world.
They are seeking a Mining Engineer for their underground salt mine in Cote Blanche, La to be an understudy for a great growth opportunity.

Summary:
Primarily responsible for supporting the Cote Blanche mining operations through financial analysis, technical expertise, and completion of engineering related projects and engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting with engineering mining requirements.
Support operations through project financial analysis.
Develop and maintain short and long term mining plan.
Develop ideas to improve profitability through cost savings and new opportunities.
Support Production and Maintenance through development, initiation and completion of efficiency enhancement related projects.
Monitor underground ventilation and ground control.
Support the EHS Department with engineering/safety related projects.
Education and/or Experience:
· MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
· 1-2 years experience in an industrial setting preferred.
· Windows based computer skills – excellent in spreadsheets
· Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident [Green Card Holder]
