Monitoring Center Analyst

2nd shift: 12noon-10pm &
3rd shift: 9pm-7am needed.

Must be available to work on weekends if needed.
You must be eligible for a DoD secret clearance.

The Monitoring Center Analyst will provide first-line network and systems surveillance and incident management support as follows:

-Provides server, network and application monitoring that include reporting, alerting and basic troubleshooting to ensure system stability in a mission-critical datacenter. 

-Manages incidents by responding to and coordinating activities for high priority and system outage events triggered by existing monitoring tools or tickets dispatched from the helpdesk.

-Escalates incidents to senior management and documents events as they occur with the release of periodic status updates.

-Performs routine checks of system and datacenter health

Requirements:

-Must be eligible or have a DoD Secret Clearance

-Basic IT troubleshooting capability

-Basic understanding of UNIX Operating Systems

-Basic understanding of Windows Server Operating System

-Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts

-Excellent writing and communications skills

-Detail-oriented

-Experience with monitoring tools

-Experience with ticketing systems, specifically Remedy

-Incident management experience
