BNC National Bank is currently recruiting for a Compliance Administrator for our Overland Park, Kansas office.  The position will perform the duties listed amongst others as needed:

Job Summary

The position is primarily responsible for the guidance, research and assistance to the Compliance Officer and Mortgage Executive Team regarding the various Federal, State, Agency and Investor specific regulations in addition to the company’s internal policies and procedures.  This candidate assist in assuring that the company has a sound system of internal controls for an optimum level of compliance by: Monitoring GSE’s and legislature for proposed and approved bills which would affect the mortgage lending practices for BNC National Bank, Auditing and monitoring controls to assure the mortgage lending team is compliant and identifying compliance exceptions for documented corrections.  The candidate must also possess an above average working knowledge of all loan types, documents, and investor guidelines as well as demonstrate knowledge of the Industry in terms of laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Graham Leach Bliley Act. 

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

• Review the data integrity for the HMDA and LAR reporting for the mortgage division to meet annual reporting deadlines timely and accurately.  
• Assist in developing, researching and monitoring mortgage policies and procedures to meet current regulatory and company guidelines in addition to recommending ways to streamline and improve policies, procedures and services for the benefit of customers and BNC National Bank.   
• Monitor tracking of mortgage division internal compliance changes for regulator references. 
• Conduct ongoing verification procedures to ensure managements timely and complete implementation of corrective actions designed to respond to results of internal and third party examinations/testing. 
• Educate the mortgage executive management team of compliance issues and or changes to implement with tracking system to meet regulatory deadlines. 
• Will perform a leadership and decision making function incorporating necessary delegation skills while exercising strong critical thinking during implementation process. 

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with emphasis on analysis and reporting.
• Very strong organizational skills and the ability to work and deliver projects and achieve targets independently, proactively and under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Excel Pivot Table functionality.  Familiarity with Encompass, Calyx Point, ProLender, Marksman and Lock-In Pro a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage lending.  Specific experience working in compliance or audit processes.
