Complete a broad range of complex and specialized operational duties to support the imaging workflow, as well as other functions for the Mortgage Division, ensuring timely completion and compliance with established internal standards and external regulations. Complete research and compile material for management to render recommendations, provide support to correct identified problems, including work simplification, process design and workflow re-organization. Complete a broad range of complex processing, operational, customer service and related specialized duties in support of assigned area. Resolve unusual issues, investigating their source to minimize or eliminate future occurrences. Handle daily document volume in timely manner and the precise, accurate and conforming to established procedures, deadlines and internal polices. Recognize documents and status of each for all Mortgage business units, ensuring they are processed within correct workflow. Prepare and scan batch documents for data capture and workflow system for successful processing and work routing of incoming documents to correct department.
 
Operate and maintain high and low speed scanning application able to complete image quality control and high level of troubleshooting to achieve best image quality. Index documents and complete quality control. Maintain appropriate records of activity; should assist in development and maintenance of procedural and/or training manuals. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Review, process and retain critical collateral and final collateral documents. Provide input and/or reports to management and business areas to ensure their awareness of issues detected during the review. Deliver critical documents to investors and vendors within contractual agreed timeframes. Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • Associate's degree in business, legal, related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years proven and progressive mortgage experience or equivalent
  • Proven organizational, planning, analytical, problem solving, customer service and communications skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages
  • Good working knowledge of mortgage products, processing, closing, servicing, investor guidelines and state and Federal regulations
  • Requires the ability to stand for a period of time and lift up to 50 pounds
