Interested professionals for these positions must have strong leadership skills and be highly independent, confident, free thinking and have the ability to express and execute their own ideas.

Mortgage Loan Originator:

The Mortgage Loan Originator will serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union for all mortgage related inquiries. Responsible for interviewing applicants for loans, gathering background information and analyzing loan applicants’ credit history. Approve or deny loan applications based on analysis.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·         Interview members applying for mortgage loans with Marine Credit Union.

·         Solicit loan applications from members an non-members.

·         Manage a business development network with the real estate industry.

·         Provide exceptional member service to our members.

·         Abide by all applicable Marine Credit Union policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

·         Knowledge of loan collections, consumer credit, and residential lending.  

·         Business development knowledge.

·         Experience in Consumer and Residential Lending.

·         Ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of sales, diplomacy, and trust.

·         College Degree desired (Not required)
